Every year, during the Christmas holidays, El Nacional donates to a social and/or charitable cause. This year the funds raised have gone to one of the most important paediatric centres in Europe: the Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona Hospital.

From November 22nd to January 6th, a charity campaign took place, inviting customers to participate by donating 1 euro in solidarity when paying for their bill.

The campaign was designed to financially support the research into childhood and prenatal diseases carried out by this hospital. However, this year there was a clear goal: to exceed the almost €9,000 raised last year for the Red Cross.

Goal reached! Thanks to the efforts of the entire team and the collaboration of our customers, €17,102 was raised. What’s more, El Nacional itself contributed an additional €10,000 to the campaign, for a total donation of €27,102.
